Wingo NYC, a growing fundraising and communications consulting firm, is seeking to hire an energetic, enthusiastic and creative person to support our work in special events fundraising for numerous non-profit clients engaged in social and cultural change.

Founded in 1996, Wingo NYC has provided hands-on non-profit management, development, communications and design services to well over 200 organizations.

This new staff position will focus primarily on special events management, such as:

  • Attending and participating in weekly client meetings

  • Providing support to event consultant lead

  • Staffing large and small events

  • Playing a key role in day of event management

  • Managing event income tracker spreadsheets

  • Implementing online ticket pages

  • Providing phone and email follow-up to event sponsors and ticket buyers

  • Sourcing vendors

  • Working closely with and managing volunteers

  • Promoting client events through social media

  • Disbursing press releases

  • Gathering honoree bios and photographs

  • Arranging honoree transportation

  • Producing and overseeing mailings

  • Writing and editing event-related collateral

We are looking for someone who can fill this role with competence, grace and humor. Must possess great attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media; a demonstrated commitment to social justice and the missions of our clients – and be able to work nights and weekends as needed. Two years experience in special events or fundraising preferred. There is opportunity for growth in this position.

Salary is in the $50,000 range and includes many benefits, such as two weeks paid vacation plus holiday week closure, five sick days, $500 towards health insurance, and access to dental and vision insurance, commuter discounts, 401(k) and other benefits.
